The Memory Boundary Map
field mission · ~10 min · +60 xp
Where does an AI's memory of something you told it actually stop? Test how far a small invented fact survives.
how to run it
tell the AI a harmless made-up fact, like: "My fictional island is called Velora, and its national animal is the glass moth." Then test whether it remembers: (1) ten messages later in the same conversation, (2) after you deliberately change the subject for a while, (3) in a brand-new separate conversation, (4) after using the product's own memory settings, if it has them, to explicitly ask it to forget. Report what you find — which product you used matters a lot here, since memory behavior is often a feature of the app, not the underlying model.
before you start
This experiment asks you to run a short test on an AI of your choosing outside this site, then report what happened here. Your responses are stored under an anonymous participant ID, never your name or email. Never use real personal information or secrets — only a harmless invented fact.
